A multi-faceted promotion.

SERVICES & ADVOCACY FOR GLBT ELDERS (SAGE)

SAGE, a national champion for LGBT elders, enlisted our help in creating an interlocking set of promotional materials addressing a major LGBT problem: discrimination in housing. Known as the National LGBT Housing Initiative, the campaign employed stark, evocative photography, a commanding black and orange color palette, and a design scheme of locks and keys symbolic of the “locking out” of gay and lesbian elders. Campaign assets included a page on the SAGE website, a postcard, and, as its centerpiece, an elaborate, multi-paneled brochure designed so each panel, when unfolded, reveals another “key.” The campaign resonated throughout the LGBT community and garnered the Communicator Award of Distinction from the AIVA.
