Good design makes great events.

SERVICES & ADVOCACY FOR GLBT ELDERS (SAGE)

One of our ﬁrst projects for SAGE, the preeminent organization advocating for gay and lesbian elders, was developing materials for a major national conference built around the theme, “The Future Of Aging Is In Our Hands.” Bringing together LGBT elders from around the country for three days of interactive workshops, the conference gave voice to the idea that gay and lesbian elders have the power to change their lives and actively inﬂuence “the future of aging.“We designed a logo and developed a bold colorful format for all related materials, including a series of postcard announcements, ﬂyers and a mailer with registration form. For the conference, we designed a poster, name tags, buttons and give-aways, and formatted the 46-page conference program. The conference was a huge success and helped establish SAGENet as a preeminent national network of SAGE affiliates dedicating to advancing the interests of LGBT elders. It is also an example of how intelligent design can help to theme and tie together all the disparate elements of an organized event.
